The MADRE website (http://www.madre.org/) (the “website”) is available for your personal and education purposes.  By accessing and using the website, you (the “user”) agrees that you have read and accepted these Terms of Use.  Use of the website is contingent upon this agreement.  If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, do not access or use any part of the website.  MADRE reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time, without notice to you, and you must consult the most recent version of this User Agreement each time you use the website.  These terms and conditions apply only to this website.

Limitation of Liability
The website is provided to you “as is” without any warranties of any kind, express or implied.  MADRE disclaims all warranties, express or implied, of any kind with respect to goods and services sold on or through the website.  You agree that you will hold harmless MADRE and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from all claims arising out of or related to your access or use of, or your inability to access or use, this website or the information contained in this website or other websites to which it is linked. You further agree that MADRE or the contributors of information to the website will not be liable for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by you in reliance on such information.

Content Usage
All information that appears on this website, such as text, data, graphics, logos, audio, video, are, unless noted otherwise, the property of MADRE and may not be copied, reproduced, reprinted, transmitted, distributed, altered, performed, displayed or otherwise used in part or whole in any manner without explicit prior consent from MADRE, except that if the user makes a single copy of the content for personal and noncommercial use which does not harm MADRE, and provided the user does not remove any trademarks, copyrights, or any notice contained.  The website also contains an online store with ordering capabilities.  You must be 18 years of age or older to place an order with the MADRE online store. 

 

Privacy Policy

Information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with
For each visitor to our website, our Web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address. We collect aggregate information on what pages users access or visit, information volunteered by the user, such as survey information and/or site registrations. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page.

If you supply us with your email address online, you may receive periodic emails from us with updated information about MADRE and its partner organizations. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by visiting us at our unsubscribe page.

If you supply us with your postal address on-line you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by writing to us at madrespeaks@madre.org. Please provide us with your exact name and address.

If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site periodically.

Upon request we provide site visitors with access to any transaction or contact information that we maintain about them. E-mail us at privacy@madre.org. We offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information. Users can have this information corrected by sending us e-mail at madrespeaks@madre.org, or by calling us at the above telephone number.

MADRE never sells the names or addresses of our members. We occasionally exchange information with like-minded organizations. If you wish for your name to be used exclusively by MADRE, please contact us at privacy@madre.org.

Cookies
MADRE  works with Democracy in Action to facilitate monetary transactions. In doing so, MADRE and Democracy in Action may place internet “cookies” on your hard drive. These cookies may save data about you such as your name and the pages of the website that you viewed. You may decline, disable or delete the internet cookies while visiting the website by activating the relevant browser setting. However, doing so may affect the website functionality.

Information Security
When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as financial or contact information, we redirect visitors to a secure server.
