MADRE's International Network of Women's Human Rights Experts
Through MADRE's Network of Experts, MADRE connects journalists with women activists and human rights experts working at local, national, and international levels to strengthen coverage of women's human rights issues in media worldwide. MADRE believes that women activists working in regions impacted by US foreign policy, or where humanitarian or human rights crises occur, are best positioned to address the realities faced by women and their families.
MADRE's Network of Experts is comprised of women spanning every region of the world who share a commitment to defending women's human rights, and possess expertise in:
- War, Recovery, and Building Peace
- Trade, Aid, and Economic Justice
- Indigenous Peoples' Rights and Resources
- The Right to Food, Water, and Environmental Sustainability
- US Foreign Policy
- Confronting Violence against Women
- Women's Health and Reproductive Rights
- Sexual Rights
- Youth
- Human Rights Law
